Government & Nonprofit Career Fair

The Career Fair allows Government and Nonprofit agencies to meet with candidates and alumni from the 30 participating Minnesota 4-year colleges and universities and participating regional colleges. Undergraduate and Graduate schools and programs are not allowed to attend this event as exhibitors. The Government & Nonprofit Career Fair allows candidates to pursue professional opportunities and internships in all levels of government and nonprofit agencies. The job fair is open only to students and alumni from participating colleges and universities.

Partners in Policymaking Class 37

The Partners program was created by the Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities 35 years ago, and has been offered nationally and internationally. Through informative and interactive sessions, Partners teaches leadership skills and the process of developing positive partnerships with elected officials and other policymakers who make decisions about the services that you and/or your family use. Partners is accessible, informative and empowering. Since 1987, more than 1,100 self-advocates and parents have graduated in Minnesota.

CLA Internship & Career Fair

Attend this virtual event to promote internships, full-time, and volunteer opportunities to talented and diverse liberal arts students! Employers in the for-profit, nonprofit, and government sectors with professional opportunities that require students to be working toward a bachelor’s degree in the liberal arts are invited to attend. This event is for current College of Liberal Arts (CLA) students and recent alumni. This fair will also be open to undergraduate students in other colleges at the U of M.

National Association for Rural Mental Health Conference

Each year, the National Association for Rural Mental Health hosts a one of a kind conference focusing on rural and frontier mental health practice, research and public policy issues. The NARMH Annual conference brings together rural clinicians, administrators, consumers, researchers, and policy-makers. Participants’ learn about national issues and trends; develop new knowledge and skills; hear perspectives from rural consumers and advocates; and are provided with updates on the latest in research, practice and policy; socialize and HAVE FUN!

Mississippi River Parkway Commission of Minnesota

The Minnesota Mississippi River Parkway Commission involves a legislative commission of 15 appointed members and managing the Great River Road, spanning 43 communities in Minnesota. The Great River Road, which has been named an All-American Road, traces the course of the Mississippi River for 3,000 miles through 10 states, traveling through the America’s rich history, vibrant culture and inspiring natural beauty.

Minnesota Department of Human Services DSW Stipend and Enhanced Rate/Budget Grant Program

Enhanced rate: A worker qualifies for the enhanced rate when the worker has completed qualifying trainings and provides services to a person who receives PCA services or participates in CDCS or CSG and either: Is eligible for 12 or more hours of state plan PCA per day; has the home care rating EN. Stipend: A worker who has completed the qualifying trainings qualifies for the stipend when he or she works with a person who is a participant in PCA Choice, CDCS or CSG. Stipends are available for workers in PCA Choice, CSG and CDCS who complete qualifying trainings. Stipends are available on a first come, first served basis.
